Cheryl A Gray grew up in a family of 9, is a mother of 3, grandmother of 5, previous childcare professional, is genetically inspired and inclined. * It all started with my growing up in a large family which gave me hands on experience cooking, teaching and caring for children. I modeled my mother with a desire to bake as I recall she prepared homemade bread dough each weekend which turned out bread loaves, buns and best of all awesomely scrumptious cinnamon rolls. The greatest fun was waiting on the yeast dough to rise so that I could take my turn punching down the rising dough and spreading butter on the rolled out dough before sprinkling the cinnamon sugar all over it, my mouth waters as I remember. * My natural and genetic talents were and are to write, draw, bake, and create things. This is who I am, have always been, will always be, this is me. I recall the first cake I ever baked, I was about 4 years old and it was a spice cake. I confused my measurements and put way too much salt in my batter. Such a shame, because it was otherwise a beautiful cake. My family never let on that it was anything but perfect. * During the time my children were growing up, wanting to stay home with them, I opened a licensed and registered Daycare. Oh how I loved it! I taught Abeka curriculum and had learning centers in each corner of my Daycare. I made my own curriculum aids and each week I taught the children in my Daycare a different letter of the alphabet, number and color. I reinforced this through what they ate, songs we sang, books we read and crafts we made. My mouse puppet, Cheesy, came out each day to help the children learn.. everyone loved Cheesy as did my own children and did I. * I currently live in the beautiful town of Newnan, Georgia where I enjoy my children and grandchildren, travel, writing and serving others.
