I Am Left-Handed!: What I Love about Being a Lefty

This book explores left-handedness, a subject that is surprisingly sensitive to many--especially children who are surrounded by right-handed friends and classmates and who struggle with the need to use ＂special＂ scissors, worry about smudging their schoolwork, and grow frustrated with bumping elbows at the dinner table.

Dagmar Geisler is a German author and illustrator. She studied graphic design at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and worked for several publishing houses and broadcasting companies. Today, Dagmar focuses mainly on children’s books, both as an illustrator and an author. She illustrated My Body Belongs to Me from My Head to My Toes, which received the Silver Feather (Silberne Feder) Children’s Book Prize from the German Medical Women’s Association, and is the illustrator of My Feelings and Me. She lives with her family in Munich, Germany.

Stephanie Gerharz was born in London in 1965 and is the mother of two adult children. She worked in a child and adolescent psychiatric practice until she set up her own practice where she accompanies children and adults in their processes as a coach and left-hander consultant. As an author, she self-published the card set Lettuce with Heart, a game to promote mindfulness and heart qualities.
