This new work delves into the mulitfaceted relationship between the neighboring Pacific islands of New Caledonia and New Zealand. Drawing on scholarly contributions, the study offers a variety of perspectives, in both English and French, and discusses issues of literacy, culture, religion, economics, security, diplomacy, and politics.
