Richard A. Isbell (he prefers to be called Rick) started his love for writing and creating art, cartoons, and comics at the age of 5. He grew up in a little town with one stop light named Bellbrook, Ohio. He still visits quite often. Although he enjoyed all the support and love that a small town could provide, there was a big world out there to explore. Rick joined the Air Force straight out of high school and was lucky enough to be stationed in many places in the US and Europe. After serving in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm he returned home to rehabilitate by attending the Columbus College of Art and Design where he graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts and Illustration. He is a published author, illustrator, and cartoonist. Blame it on the Monsters was Rick’s first book that he had written and illustrated. It is available at Amazon.com. He has created graphics, book covers, cartoons, logos, theatre posters, and painted murals all over the world. He lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Yvonne, his kids Devyn, Ricky, and Ravyn, their cats, and their German Shepherd Kona.
